About Steve Drury
Colchester hypnotherapist Steve, has had a diverse career spanning from freelancing as a photo-journalist then into printing. Years later he assumed roles in broadcasting and emerging communication technologies which eventually culminated in having senior-level accountability for video communication for one of the worlds largest banks, overseeing their European, Middle East and African Market strategy.
Seeking change from corporate city life, Steve set-up web-aviso a successful print-web design and internet marketing business. In its early stages a customer friendship developed with a magician, reawakening an older fascination Steve had. Soon the interest became serious and Steve’s ‘hobby’ became professional. In 2007 Steve became a co-founder of Psycrets (aka British Society of Mystery Entertainers). Steve still performs and lectures to a wide range of audiences at public and private, social and corporate events.
Invariably through the entertainment community Steve met many respected performers some of whom also included stage hypnosis within their shows - but also held careers as practising therapists and medical professionals in their own right. Whilst Steve gradually incorporated more psychological skills such as NLP and suggestion into his own act, he also decided to seek advice and training in hypnosis.
Steve’s conclusion to undertaking the training however was that he felt more inclined to achieve something far more positive with this psychological discipline and channel this into helping people overcome issues and make changes to their lives.
